Welcome to DecentDates. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the DecentDates website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By creating an account, accessing, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
Eligibility
To use DecentDates, you must:

- Not have been previously banned or removed from DecentDates for violating these Terms.

- Upload photos or content that you do not own or have rights to use;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or DecentDates systems;
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or interact with the Services;
- Request money, gifts, or financial information from other users;
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law.
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including account suspension or termination, against anyone who violates this section
Compatibility Quiz and Matching
DecentDates may offer a Compatibility Quiz and matching features designed to connect you with other users based on the information you provide. Matches and compatibility scores are generated using our proprietary methods and are provided for informational purposes only. We make no guarantee regarding the accuracy of matches or the outcome of any interactions or relationships formed through the Services.
User Content
You retain ownership of any content (including photos, messages, and profile information) that you submit to DecentDates (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant DecentDates a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the Services, including showing your profile to other users.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all necessary rights to share it. DecentDates reserves the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms at our discretion.
Subscriptions, Payments, and Renewals
Certain features of DecentDates may require a paid subscription. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to:
- Pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase;
- Authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your chosen payment method;
- Understand that subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date, as described at the point of purchase.
Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in our refund policy. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings; cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Safety Disclaimer
DecentDates provides a platform for users to connect but does not conduct criminal background checks on its users unless explicitly stated. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and offline. We strongly encourage you to:
- Meet in public places for initial in-person meetings;
- Tell a friend or family member where you’re going and who you’re meeting;
- Never send money or financial information to someone you meet on DecentDates;
- Report any suspicious, abusive, or fraudulent behavior to us immediately.
DecentDates is not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline.
Termination
You may deactivate or delete your account at any time through your account settings. DecentDates reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful conduct, or for any other reason at our discretion.
Intellectual Property
All content on DecentDates, including but not limited to the logo, design, text, graphics, and software, is the property of DecentDates or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Services without our prior written consent.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
DecentDates is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any matches or connections will result in a particular outcome.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DecentDates and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services, including but not limited to damages resulting from interactions with other users.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DecentDates, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
